KTAC understands that for users located far from the grid or in areas with unstable power, every penny of investment counts. The 5KW 24V Off Grid Solar Inverter (GA-5024) is a pragmatically designed 5kW off-grid hybrid inverter that strikes a precise balance between cost, size, and performance while ensuring a stable pure sine wave output. Unlike 12kW models that prioritize maximum power, the GA-5024 focuses on the most common household and small commercial loads: it easily powers a refrigerator, several lights, a water pump, a TV or computer, and a few power tools.
First, its 5000W rated power meets the peak electricity demands of most small-to-medium off-grid households, while its 10,000VA surge capacity is sufficient to start appliances like a 1.5 HP air conditioner or a deep-well water pump.
More importantly, it utilizes a 24V battery system; compared to 48V setups, 24V battery packs offer lower costs and simpler cell matching for small-to-medium capacities, and many entry-level or second-hand lead-acid batteries on the market are designed for 24V systems. The GA-5024 is designed with the specific needs of these users in mind, offering a charging current of up to 160A. Whether powered by solar energy, grid electricity, or a generator, it rapidly replenishes battery energy.
This 5KW 24V Off Grid Solar Inverter features a built-in wide-voltage MPPT controller (60–450V range, 500V max open-circuit voltage) and supports a maximum input power of 9000W. It communicates with lithium battery BMS via CAN or RS485 to monitor battery voltage, temperature, and SOC in real-time, dynamically adjusting charging parameters to significantly extend battery lifespan. It also includes a built-in lithium battery activation function to wake up battery packs that have entered sleep mode due to over-discharge.
With an optional WiFi module, you can monitor PV generation, load power, and remaining battery capacity via a mobile app, as well as receive fault alerts. The detachable dust cover facilitates easy cleaning of the cooling air ducts, making the unit suitable for dusty environments such as farms and workshops.

Whether sourced from PV, grid power, or a generator, the maximum charging current reaches 160A (with a total charging current of 160A). This enables rapid battery recharging, reduces generator run-time, and maximizes the utilization of limited daylight hours.
Rated at 5000W with a surge capacity of 10,000VA (for 20ms). 5KW 24V Off Grid Solar Inverter reliably starts inductive loads—such as 1.5 HP air conditioners, deep-well water pumps, and air compressors—preventing inverter overload shutdowns caused by high inrush currents.
Features an MPPT operating voltage range of 60–450VDC, a maximum open-circuit voltage of 500VDC, and a maximum PV input power of 9000W. It is compatible with mainstream high-voltage PV panel strings, enhancing power generation efficiency during early morning, late afternoon, and low-light conditions.
Provides two independent AC outputs: one for critical loads (continuous power supply) and another for non-critical (sheddable) loads. Load-shedding thresholds can be configured for battery mode, maximizing backup time for essential equipment.
Supports 24V lithium batteries (nominal 25.6V) or lead-acid batteries. Features a float charge voltage of 27V and overcharge protection at 30.5V. Communicates with lithium battery BMS via CAN/RS485 to monitor battery status in real-time and optimize charging.
Includes a built-in interface for a WiFi module (supports remote monitoring via mobile app with the optional module). Also features a lithium battery activation function, capable of waking up battery packs that have entered sleep mode due to over-discharge, without requiring extra equipment.
Weighs only 8.4kg with dimensions of 410×336×110mm; can be wall-mounted by a single person. The detachable dust cover facilitates easy cleaning and extends the device's lifespan in harsh environments.
1. Residential Off-Grid PV Systems: Supplies daily electricity for small-to-medium households (2–4 people), powering essentials like lighting, refrigerators, TVs, computers, and fans. Pairs with 24V lead-acid or lithium batteries for excellent cost-performance.
2. Remote Farms/Livestock Facilities: Powers equipment such as water pumps, feed grinders, and ventilation fans. High-current 160A charging maximizes midday solar energy to rapidly replenish batteries, reducing reliance on generators.
3. Rural Clinics or Communication Base Stations: Serves as a primary or backup power source. Dual AC outputs ensure priority power for medical or communication equipment, with automatic switching during grid outages.
4. Small Shops/Roadside Stalls: Provides stable power for freezers, lighting, cash registers, and mobile charging stations. Supports grid or generator supplementation and offers low operating costs.
5. Mobile or Temporary Power: Lightweight design allows for easy installation in RVs, construction site containers, or emergency response vehicles; plug-and-play ready when paired with portable solar panels.

No. This model is designed for standalone operation and does not support parallel connection of multiple units. If higher power is required, we recommend the GA-12048 (12kW) model or contacting KTAC for other solutions.
We recommend using copper cables with a cross-sectional area of 25mm² or larger on the battery side, paired with a 200A DC circuit breaker. Please refer to the wiring specifications in the product manual for details.
Yes. The GA-5024 supports hybrid charging (PV + grid), with a maximum total charging current of 160A (the combined total does not exceed 160A, managed by internal logic). Users can set charging priorities: Solar Priority, Grid Priority, or Hybrid Charging.
Yes. An 8-series LiFePO₄ pack has a nominal voltage of 25.6V and a full-charge voltage of approximately 29.2V. Set the battery type to "Lithium" and connect the BMS via CAN/RS485; the inverter will automatically adjust charging parameters. If communication is not used, you can manually set the float voltage to around 28.8V (please refer to the battery's specifications).
This is due to the physical limitations of the inverter's internal charging circuitry. When both PV and AC inputs are active, they share the 160A capacity (e.g., 100A from PV + 60A from AC). This protects internal components while meeting the needs of the vast majority of small-to-medium-sized systems.
No. The GA-5024 is designed for a 24V battery system (nominal voltage of 25.6V for lithium; 27V float charge for lead-acid); its internal inverter circuitry, charging parameters, and BMS communication protocols are all optimized for 24V systems. Connecting a 48V battery directly will trigger over-voltage protection or even damage the unit. If you require a 48V system, please choose the GA-6548 (6.5kW) or GA-12048 (12kW) model; both are compatible with 48V batteries (nominal voltage of 51.2V).
The 5KW 24V Off Grid Solar Inverter provides a dry contact signal (requires an optional external module) to automatically start the generator based on battery voltage or load status. Please refer to the detailed manual or contact technical support for specific wiring and configuration instructions.
It operates at temperatures as low as -15°C. However, please note that charging lithium batteries below 0°C may be restricted. We recommend placing the battery in an insulated enclosure or selecting a battery with a built-in heating function. The inverter itself can continue to output power, though efficiency may decrease slightly.
