Protection Types: Over-voltage, under-voltage, overheating, overload, short circuit
Suitable Loads: High-power air conditioners, imported refrigerators, laser printers, CNC engraving machines, medical equipment
Prolonged high voltage (>240V) accelerates the aging of capacitors in switching power supplies, while frequent voltage drops (<190V) can cause motor windings to overheat and lead to compressor stall or burnout.
Acting as a "power purifier" between the grid and the load, the AVS-5000 continuously monitors input voltage and automatically switches between 7 precision taps to ensure the output voltage remains within the safe 180–255VAC range.
Take an imported side-by-side refrigerator (valued at 15,000 RMB) as an example: its compressor is voltage-sensitive; when the voltage drops below 200V, the starting current increases by 30%, accelerating winding temperature rise. With the AVS-5000 installed, the output remains stable above 200V even if the mains voltage drops to 150V, potentially extending the compressor's lifespan by more than two years.
For devices such as home theater amplifiers, OLED TVs, and game consoles, stable voltage also prevents issues like screen flickering and audio distortion.

When the mains voltage fluctuates between 130V and 270V AC, the AVS-5000 clamps the output voltage to a range of 180V–255V AC with ±8% precision. Actual testing shows: with an input of 150V, the output is approximately 198V; with an input of 260V, the output is approximately 238V. Connected equipment always operates within a safe voltage range.
Unlike lower-power models, the AVS-5000 utilizes a 25A resettable circuit breaker. It withstands the high inrush currents (3–5 times the rated current) typical of inductive loads like air conditioners, compressors, and motors, preventing nuisance tripping. 5KVA Automatic Voltage Regulator also features precise overload protection, cutting off power if the load exceeds 1800W for several seconds to safeguard circuits and equipment.
· Efficiency ≥96% with minimal heat generation; suitable for 24/7 continuous operation.
· Fanless design (natural cooling) ensures zero noise, making it ideal for bedrooms, studies, and recording studios.
· Toroidal structure minimizes magnetic leakage, preventing interference with nearby audio equipment or precision instruments.
A front-panel DIP switch allows users to select a startup delay of either 6 seconds (for standard appliances) or 180 seconds (for air conditioners and refrigerators). The 180-second delay allows internal refrigerant pressure to equalize before restarting, preventing issues like liquid hammer or compressor seizure—a standard protective feature for refrigeration equipment.

· Red LED: Fault/Protection activated
· Dedicated LED displays for both input and output voltage
Real-time monitoring of grid quality and voltage regulation performance helps users determine if they need to contact their utility provider.
6. Robust tower design with excellent heat dissipation
Dimensions: 405×260×310mm; Weight: 8.6kg; features ventilation vents on the front, back, and both sides. It can be placed on the floor or a sturdy countertop; even under full load, the casing temperature rise remains below 30°C.
Imported steam ovens, dishwashers, and coffee machines contain precision control boards and motors. Voltage fluctuations can cause control boards to burn out (repair costs exceeding 2,000) or increase motor noise. The AVS-5000 provides centralized voltage stabilization for a full suite of kitchen appliances, offering a return on investment in under six months.
Equipment such as power amplifiers, projectors, and subwoofers is sensitive to power quality. Unstable voltage can lead to increased background noise and rolling horizontal lines on the screen. The AVS-5000 outputs a stable sine wave, resulting in purer sound quality and a more stable image.
A single CNC engraving machine or a cluster of five 3D printers has a total power draw of approximately 1500W. Voltage drops can cause stepper motors to lose steps, resulting in ruined finished products. Using the AVS-5000 ensures a high success rate for long print jobs and reduces material waste.
Devices such as oxygen concentrators, nebulizers, and suction units require continuous, stable operation. Excessive voltage can damage compressors, while low voltage can lead to insufficient oxygen concentration. The AVS-5000 meets the basic safety requirements for medical environments.
Users located far from substations often face issues with excessively high (260V+) or low (160V-) voltage. Installed as a whole-house voltage stabilizer, the AVS-5000 protects all household appliances, resolving all voltage-related problems with a single investment.
KTAC offers OEM/ODM services for the AVS series, covering options such as casing color, logo screen printing, output socket types (Chinese, US, EU standards, etc.), input cable length, and preset time-delay intervals. Please contact us for a customized solution.
The total power consumption of appliances running simultaneously in a typical home can exceed 1800W (e.g., air conditioner + oven + water heater). We recommend using the AVS-5000 to protect high-value or sensitive loads rather than simple loads like general household lighting. Alternatively, use the higher-capacity AVS-8000 or AVS-10000 models for high-power equipment.
This is a standard rating method for AC voltage regulators: VA (Volt-Ampere) represents apparent power, while W (Watt) represents active power. For inductive loads such as motors and transformers, the actual usable power is approximately VA × power factor (0.6). Resistive loads (like electric heaters) can approach 5000W. Please base your selection on the wattage (W) and consider the nature of the load.
· Resistive: Electric kettles, electric heaters, incandescent lamps (power factor ≈ 1)
· Inductive: Refrigerators, air conditioners, water pumps, fans, power amplifiers (power factor 0.5–0.8)
If the device contains a motor or transformer, treat it as an inductive load and allow for a power margin of 2–3 times the rated load.
Since the input and output connections use terminal blocks, users must connect the cables themselves. We recommend hiring a qualified electrician to ensure the wire gauge is sufficient (at least 2.5mm² for input; output size depends on the load). Additionally, a 25A or 32A circuit breaker should be installed on the input side.
When the voltage-regulating relay operates, the toroidal transformer emits a faint "click" (approx. 40dB); this is the normal sound of tap switching, lasting less than 100ms. The continuous operating hum is extremely low—far quieter than the noise of a refrigerator compressor.
The AVS-5000 cuts off the output when the input voltage drops below 130V (undervoltage protection). This indicates a serious issue with the power grid; you should contact the utility company for rectification or consider using a voltage regulator with a boost function (such as a wide-range model) or an online UPS.
Parallel connection is strictly prohibited. Differences in switching timing between the two regulators can cause circulating currents that lead to burnout. If higher power capacity is required, please choose the AVS-8000 (3000W) or AVS-10000 (4800W).
